This is near and dear to my heart, folks! Come see the classic fairy tale brought to life on stage at the Claudine Carew Studio Theatre at Bruton High School. It is presented by the York County School of the Arts February 18 through 21. Tickets are $10. Show times are 7 pm on the 18, 19 and 20th and 2 pm on the 21st.
Not only did I graduate from Bruton High school, but I had the honor of studying theater under the direction of Ms. Claudine Carew while I was a student there. She was a spectacular teacher, a great actress and a very caring person, one whom I have never forgotten. What a wonderful tribute this is to her and I am sure she is smiling over it! I hope it's a sold-out house all week!

Elizabeth Tisdale Armstrong

I was born and raised in Williamsburg, Virginia, and from a very young age, my love of the beautiful, historic town took root. My father worked for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation for 21 years as an audio-visual engineer. As members of the historic Bruton Parish Episcopal Church, our family attended services regularly and sang in the choir. I was married in that church in 1987. During my college years, I worked every summer as an interpretive hostess in many historic buildings. Today I am a teacher and published author. Although I currently reside in the Columbus, Ohio area, my heart still belongs to the Colonial Capital.
