Guide To Williamsburg

Visit www.ticketmaster.com and enter code VALUE and you can get tickets to this event for $10 dollar and $5 dollars for kids.  Regular tickets are $20.  Friday @ 7:30pm and Saturday @ 2:00pm and 7:30pm.  If you get tickets to the 2:00pm there will be a Party in the Pits from 11:30am to 12:30pm for free.  Featuring Get R Done, Eradicator, Robo Machine, Backdraft, Escalade and AAP Grinder.  (Line-up subject to change)

With all this cold and wet weather; this seems like a good place to escape for a few hours!  Nothing like LOUD roaring engines to make you forget your troubles!

Ok, I wanted to send a different Valentine present to my parents.  I got a flyer from Harry and David about HoneyBells; never heard of them before.  They are crossed between a tangerine and grapefruit.  I ordered the HoneyBell Kisses Counter Pack, it was 19.99, no shipping and I also decided to order me one as well.  I received them last night, it came with a history and explanation of what HoneyBells were and 2 bibs.  The box is great, it has a pull out and I just put it in the refrigerator.  After dinner, I decided to try one, well they were so juicy and so sweet that my son and I ate 3.  These are only picked once a year in January and they sell them until they run out.  I am putting this on my calendar to order every year!  You can go to their website at honeybell.com or order through Harry and David.  You have to try these!
I took my son to see the new Thomas the Train movie at the Bowtie Movieland in Richmond this past weekend.  Wow, did we get a surprise.  This a converted manufacturing facility that use to make Steam Locomotives.  They made over 2000 there.  This movie theater has character, history and it was a great experience!  They also serve alcohol, however, no game room!  Thank you for playing Thomas the Train!  We will be back!

We are going this Saturday to have Dinner with Santa!  I will let you know how it goes.  They are open November 27th - 29th, Dec 4th-6th, 11th-13th, 18th - 24th and 26th- 27th.  They will have everything from stocking stuffers to one-of-kind handmade creations.  Some rides and attractions will be weather dependent.  Tickets are 19.95 but if you hold season pass it is 50% off or keep your eyes open for the coupons that have been floating around.  They are open from 4 to 9pm!  I wouldn't miss this one!

I have to say I was disappointed.  They had most of the park closed and it was very crowded.  I didn't see near the shopping or Christmas lights that I expected.  Only a few rides open.  When we did the Breakfast with Elmo they let us park in Preferred and go through a special gate, well, not this time.  My advice, if you have bought tickets for this event; leave early!  This is one event you could miss this year and not miss anything!
