Moran Finishes New York Marathon in 10th Place!

Former cross country star, and 2003 graduate of the College of William & Mary, Ed Moran ran in the ING New York Marathon on Sunday, and he placed 10th overall!

Moran completed the 26.2 mile course with a time of 2:11:46, the second fastest time clocked by an American! What a finish in the first marathon he has ever ran! Moran has four other top 10 finishes this year, however his longest race before this weekend was the 10-Mile Road Championship.

A time of 2:11:46 automatically earned Moran a spot at January's U.S. Olympic Trials in Houston, TX. His time was also faster than the qualifications for the 2012 London Olympic Games.

Wow, great job Ed! It is a great accomplishment to finish a marathon with any time, but to be one of the fastest distance runners in the country is really something. Hope to see you representing the U.S. in the upcoming Olympic Games!
