Non Profit Spotlight: Network Williamsburg

NetworkWilliamsburg works with nonprofits in the greater Williamsburg community to increase resources available to them as they face a rise in demand for services and a decrease in funding. Our mission is to raise awareness about the needs in the greater Williamsburg area, encourage involvement from the community-at-large, and increase resources available to nonprofits working to meet those needs.

We offer the following services:

Interactive Website — free, easy access for the entire community to review & respond to the needs of nonprofits; access a community-wide calendar, news page, and online forum; and post items, volunteers, or services available for a nonprofit to use.

Free Educational Workshops – to help nonprofits develop the tools needed to survive and thrive in today’s economy.

Grants Research – provide upcoming deadlines by program category, with direct links to Foundation websites and grant applications.

Networking Events – bringing nonprofits together, not only with business leaders in the community but also with other nonprofit leaders to find ways to pool their resources and work together.

Collaboration & Partnerships – Since launching, many partnerships have been formed between nonprofits and area businesses – HIV testing to low income residents; translator services for Spanish speaking clients in need; educational materials on breast cancer to low income residents; meeting space for smaller nonprofits; corporate fundraisers to benefit multiple nonprofits; and much more!
