Williamsburg Winery

Another “must see” in Williamsburg VA, the Williamsburg Winery is located on a historic farm that dates back to the early Colonial era. The Duffeler family purchased the farm in 1985 and planted 50+ acres of grapes, and the release of their first wine in 1988 was followed by a Gold Medal within two weeks! Today, the Williamsburg Winery produces approximately 60,000 cases of wine annually from its six varieties of grapes.

A guided tour of The Winery is an opportunity for visitors to learn about grape growing and winemaking, followed by a wine tasting. Most of the wines produced have historical references that are referred to on the back of the label. Visitors can enjoy a light lunch at the Gabriel Archer Tavern overlooking the picturesque vineyard.

Private parties and corporate functions can also be arranged at the Williamsburg Winery. Weddings and receptions are held amid the quaint old-world style architecture and layout of this lovely and historic winery in Colonial Williamsburg, VA.
